Senior Medical Officer - General Practice (Central Coast, NSW)

Job Summary

Seeking a senior medical officer to provide procedural general practice services at a central NSW hospital. The role involves patient care in the emergency department, on-site maternity support, and other general practice duties. Reference 209388.

Shift Schedule and Compensation

Shifts will run from 5 Oct 2026 to 4 Jan 2027 in overlapping 7-day cycles. Each shift is 14 hours per day from 17:30 to 08:00, with pay at $2,500 per day.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide procedural care and manage approximately 25-32 patients per day through the emergency department.
- Assist in maternity care on site, with obstetric and anaesthetic support available.
- Maintain a safe and effective clinical environment within a 27-bed facility (including maternity and observation beds, and an emergency department).

Qualifications & Requirements

- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Right to work in Australia.
