Informatech has been engaged to deliver a managed services contract providing development, testing, and support services for a suite of bespoke, health-sector information systems on behalf of a federal government department.

We're looking for a Software Development Lead to act as the onsite operational lead for our development team, directing technical delivery for a squad of 3–5 developers and working closely with our broader project team and departmental stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

- Acting as the onsite operational lead for the Informatech development team
- Coordinating BAU maintenance, L2/L3 support, defect remediation, and enhancement delivery
- Leading backlog shaping, feature sizing, and requirements clarification
- Providing technical direction across C#/.NET, integration, database, and DevOps activities
- Supporting incident triage, root cause analysis, and known-error management




- Facilitating sprint planning, work allocation, delivery tracking, and client demos
- Ensuring development work is maintainable, supportable, secure, and testable
- Working closely with the QA/Test Lead to align delivery with release assurance and quality gates

What you'll bring

- Strong hands-on experience across C#, .NET, SQL/T-SQL, and modern front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Demonstrated experience leading or directing a development team (3+ direct reports or equivalent), including onsite/client-facing coordination
- Solid experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub, including pipelines, repositories, and security tooling
- Experience with incident triage, root cause analysis, and known-error/problem management in an operational support environment
- Comfort running agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, client demos, and tracking delivery against commitments
- Experience operating in ISM-aligned, government, or regulated environments
- Familiarity with Power Apps, Drupal/GovCMS, or mobile application development highly regarded
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, this role is client-facing and will interface directly with the department and Informatech's Delivery Lead

Clearance This role requires a current NV1 security clearance and Australian citizenship.
