Location: Remote Australia

Salary: Based on Experience

Title: Based on Experience

ABOUT PILLAR

PILLAR Performance is one of Australia's fastest-growing performance health brands, redefining how athletes approach recovery, performance and long-term health.

Founded in 2021, PILLAR is now the trusted micronutrition partner of more than 200 professional sporting teams and organisations globally - including teams across the AFL, NRL, NBA, NFL, Premier League, Bundesliga and UCI World Tour - alongside thousands of everyday athletes striving to perform at their best.

We're scaling rapidly across Australia, North America and Europe, expanding into new products, recent markets and new retail partners. As we grow, we're investing in smarter systems, AI and exceptional people who want to help build the next generation of a global consumer brand.

If you're excited by solving complex problems, using technology to work smarter, and helping build something meaningful - we'd love to hear from you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

PILLAR is becoming a household name and this not just because of the effectiveness of the products we have crated, its the brand, the packaging, the touch points and now the merch. This is a newly created, globally-scoped role. Packaging sourcing and procurement has, until now, sat inside our Director of Product, Procurement & Regulatory's remit alongside NPD and regulatory work - this role exists to give it a dedicated owner.

You'll take full ownership of packaging and merchandise sourcing across Australia, Europe and the US - one global remit, not split or phased by region - so supplier leverage, pricing and cost benchmarking stay consistent no matter where we're buying. You'll also own pricing and margin for our growing merchandise line,

working closely with our COO and CEO on channel strategy.

This role is deliberately focused on packaging and merchandise, not ingredients - ingredient sourcing sits with our contract manufacturers and stays tied to formulation and regulatory compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Packaging sourcing & negotiation (global): Source and negotiate pricing, lead times and MOQs for tubs, jars, pouches, shakers, boxes and label stock across AU, Europe and the US.
- Merchandise sourcing & negotiation: Own vendor sourcing, pricing, lead time and production for our merchandise line, working from design specs the same way a CM brief works for packaging.
- Specification & quality management: Identify the right suppliers, manage spec sheets and sample coordination, and troubleshoot delays or defects.
- Global remit ownership: Hold packaging and merchandise supply as one consistent global function - driving supplier leverage and cost benchmarking across markets.
- Cost & planning input: Feed landed cost data into our Cost of Product Sheet and supply planning process.
- Margin ownership on non-product SKUs: Build the pricing and margin case for merchandise, bottles, containers and any other non-supplement items, partnering with leadership on channel strategy and with Operations on freight and supply feasibility.
- Compliance: Manage GS1 barcode allocation and partner with our Product & Packaging Designer to ensure labels are compliant.

- Cross-functional support: Provide supplementary support on contract manufacturer relationships and regulatory matters as needed.
- QC checks through QIMA

WHO YOU ARE

- Experience in sourcing or procurement, ideally with exposure to packaging.
- Background in fashion, cosmetics or supplements, apparel sourcing highly regarded.
- Confident negotiating with vendors across multiple regions and time zones.
- Commercially sharp - comfortable building a margin case and owning pricing decisions, not just execution.
- Detail-driven, with strong follow-through on specs, samples and quality issues.
- Mandarin language skills are advantageous but not essential.
- Thrives in a high-growth environment.
- Is naturally curious and enjoys solving difficult problems.
- Thinks commercially, not just operationally.
- Takes ownership and follows through.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

- Competitive salary aligned to experience.
- Full-time position with the opportunity to grow as PILLAR continues to scale.
- Fully remote working environment (Australia-based).
- Flexible, outcome-focused culture built on trust and accountability.
- Exposure to international operations across Australia, North America and Europe.
- Opportunity to work across Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations and strategic business projects.
- Ongoing learning and development, including exposure to AI, automation and modern planning technologies.

Whilst this role is remote, if you’re based in Sydney, Brisbane Melbourne, Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast, that’s a bonus. Many of our Finance and Operations team are located in these regions, and while we’re remote-first, we value getting together regularly for planning sessions, collaboration and team events.
