About the Role

Join us in the newly created role of Specimen Reception Coordinator where you’ll lead our pre-analytical operations. Working alongside experienced professionals, you’ll be part of a cooperative team committed to excellence, continuous improvement and help deliver exceptional veterinary clinical pathology services to our valued clients.

Your responsibilities will include

- Coordinating the day-to-day operation of specimen reception and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Receiving, accessioning and processing veterinary patient specimens with a high level of accuracy.
- Leading pre-analytical quality processes to ensure specimen integrity and timely turnaround of patient results.
- Providing leadership and support to the specimen reception team.
- Coordinating courier bookings and responding to client enquiries.
- Maintaining and improving specimen reception procedures and documentation.
- Collaborating closely with laboratory staff to support an efficient diagnostic service.

About You To be successful in this role you will have:

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques (or equivalent qualification) and/or relevant laboratory experience.
- Experience in specimen reception, laboratory administration or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.




- A proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
- A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding service to veterinary clients.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with occasional Saturdays.
