Job Description

Boilermaker – Full-Time.

Location: Welshpool, Western Australia 6106.

Employment Type: Full-Time.

Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience).

We also provide a comprehensive range of equipment and products, supporting the mining, oil & gas, and construction industries across Australia and internationally. We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Boilermakers to join our growing team on a full‑time basis.

About the Role: As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing structural steel, pressure vessels, heavy equipment, and metal components used in mining, industrial, and construction projects. You will work closely with engineers, supervisors, and maintenance teams to ensure all fabrication and welding work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with engineering specifications and Australian Standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, fabrication plans, and technical specifications.
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair structural steel, heavy machinery components, tanks, chutes, hoppers, conveyors, and other metal structures.
- Mark out, cut, shape, bend, and prepare metal materials using fabrication equipment.
- Perform welding using MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux‑Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) processes as required.




- Carry out maintenance and repairs on plant and mining equipment during shutdowns and ongoing operations.
- Inspect fabricated and welded components to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications.
- Safely operate welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, cranes, hoists, and workshop machinery.
- Identify faults, perform modifications, and recommend repair solutions where required.
- Maintain accurate records of fabrication, repairs, inspections, and completed work.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time.
- Assist with training apprentices and junior team members where required.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and site regulations.

Skills and Experience

- Minimum 1–2 years of full‑time experience as a Boilermaker or in a similar fabrication role.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Strong welding, fabrication, and metalworking skills.
- Experience working with structural steel, heavy equipment, and industrial or mining plant.
- Ability to safely operate fabrication machinery, welding equipment, and workshop tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a quick‑paced environment.
