This key role will assist in ongoing support of innovative practices as we continue to strive towards being an industry leader in the maintenance of our fleet. What We Offer
- Earning Potential: $105,000 - $115,000+ including reasonable overtime loading and generous allowances inclusive of super
- $ - $ per hour, depending on skills and experience
- Tool Allowance: $17.90 payable weekly
- Attendance Allowance: $32 payable on rostered worked hours
- Annual Leave: loading of 17.5%
- Ongoing Training and Development: Including in-house Heavy Vehicle Brake courses presented by a registered TAFE teacher.

Role Responsibilities
- Diagnosing, inspecting, reconditioning, repairing, assembling the fleet and ensuring safety, quality and Busways standards are followed at all times.
- Maintaining all company vehicles and assets in accordance with Manufacturer's guidelines
- Ensuring all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures.
- Attend breakdowns and carry out any field related mechanical repairs
- Effectively and efficiently communicate any safety or maintenance issues
- Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing work duties
- Maintaining clean workshop practices
- Reporting and repairing all accident damage as required
- Performing ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed
The Successful Applicant Will
- Hold the relevant trade qualifications (MVTC) essential
- Certificate III in commercial vehicle mechanical technology or above but will consider Certificate III in light vehicle mechanical technology with 4 - 5 years post apprenticeship experience in a similar role with the same level of responsibilities would be highly regarded.
- Have experience in the service and maintenance of vehicles (training provided to develop these skills)
- Ensure adherence and understanding to WHS regulations and relevant company policies
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Have experience working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules
- Apply a proactive approach with a drive for continuous improvement
- Be physically fit to carry out the necessities of the role
- Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check, and working with children check.
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Hold a current Unrestricted Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State
Highly Regarded but Not Necessary
- Medium Rigid (MR) or above Australian driver’s licence
- Heavy vehicle diesel mechanic experience (we provide training and development)
