We provide end‑to‑end solutions on major projects including transmission lines, switchyards, substations, and electrical distribution networks. What will a day in this role look like?

- This key client‑facing role oversees the project team to meet objectives and ensures that the work performed for any UGL client is successfully delivered and seen to be the finest in the industry. Customer relations are an essential key responsibility with an emphasis on developing sound business relationships.
- Working closely with and under minimal guidance from the GM Utilities and Transmission, this customer‑focused role is responsible for planning, executing and finalising projects for delivery to clients. A key responsibility is to manage project teams to accurately and timely deliver projects according to schedule, budget and scope. The role will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
- This position focuses on acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, ensuring that customer needs are delivered in a safe, timely and efficient manner while maintaining a protected and effective operation through sound communication, safety and quality assurance, technical assistance, and sound business practices such as commercial, compliance, procurement, human resources, and financials.




- The Project Director will develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders throughout the UGL Business Units and with external providers.

What are we looking for you to bring to the team?

- Formal project management accreditation equivalent to Australian Institute Project Management (AIPM), PMBOK, Diploma, PMP or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of project management (or similar senior‑level) experience from within the power, industrial, or infrastructure industries – experience with high‑voltage substations and transmission lines is highly desirable.
- Experience in estimation costing for projects and working to a budget.
- High level of business and commercial acumen backed by a sound ability to create, read, and interpret budgets, financial statements and analyse variance reports.
