- Join a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team driving a nationally significant, multi-year digital transformation initiative within a secure Federal Government environment.
- Help shape a major national digital capability from its inception, designing core integration architecture, API standards, and messaging patterns to connect multi-agency systems and industry partners.

Role & Responsibilities
- Define and govern the enterprise integration architecture to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable data exchange across core platforms and partner systems.
- Establish robust integration patterns across REST APIs, event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, file exchange, and batch processing.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Architects, and Cyber Security Specialists to map information flows, payloads, and secure data exchange mechanisms.
- Drive system integration across Commonwealth agencies, regulatory bodies,
and external industry stakeholders while balancing legacy constraints.
- Standardise API governance, reusable messaging frameworks, and streamlined onboarding processes for system consumers and producers.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to API specialists, developers, and testing teams throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:
- Technical Toolkit: Microsoft Azure integration services (API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure Functions), REST APIs, JSON, XML, EDI, and secure system-to-system integration protocols.
- Experience: Proven track record as an Integration Architect designing enterprise integration solutions, event-driven architectures, and system-to-system connections across legacy and modern cloud platforms.
- Core Capabilities: Excellent stakeholder engagement capability to collaborate across multiple organisations with varying technical standards, with background in government, transport, logistics, or regulatory environments highly regarded.
Eligibility & Clearance Requirements
- Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current NV1 security clearance.
