Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced people‑centric technology leader to inspire, guide, and develop a high‑performing technical team within a fast‑paced managed services, telecommunications or technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and monitor key operational metrics—including service availability, SLA compliance, incident performance, change success rates and customer satisfaction outcomes for the managed services function.
- Lead a high‑performing, technically advanced operational team and invest in collective capability uplift.
- Provide technical leadership and best‑practice guidance across a range of network and security solutions in collaboration with product, pre‑sales, sales, technology, engineering and security teams.
- Partner with product, sales and technology teams to influence the strategic roadmap for managed network and security services.
- Engage with sales, account management and other operational teams to ensure an excellent customer solution and experience.
- Consult with customers to identify technical solutions to business problems and develop and document supporting high‑level and detailed solution designs.
- Oversee analysis, design, documentation, planning, deployment and testing of complex adds, moves or changes for enterprise and business customer services.
- Manage internal and external partner relationships.
- Use data and other techniques to identify improvements to customer solutions, including network or security system changes and improvements.
- Identify, define and implement policy or process changes.
- Address training or skills gaps through coaching, on‑the‑job training, or formal training.
- Identify task automation opportunities to improve efficiency,
reliability, performance and functionality of customer solutions.
- Maintain high levels of technical competence through continued learning and application of relevant research, training, self‑study and certifications.
Qualifications
- Solid experience as a technical architect, senior engineer, technical manager or senior team leader in a customer‑centric environment.
- Broad, demonstrable knowledge of security, network and systems, with a focus on Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco and VeloCloud SD‑WAN.
- Outstanding problem‑solving skills and proactive initiative when issues arise, supported by skilled written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for continuous learning and self‑improvement, and the ability to quickly understand and apply new technologies.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed or multi‑disciplinary technical teams in a managed services, telecommunications or technology environment.
- Significant experience coaching and mentoring technical team members in a commercial environment.
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment that requires calmness, agility, decisiveness, teamwork and communication.
