Reporting to the Spare Parts Manager, you will be an important part of keeping the workshop moving by supporting stock control, parts availability and day-to-day efficiency. Your contribution will help the team work effectively and keep operations running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing
- Receive and check all goods for accuracy, quality and damage
- Raise purchase orders and source parts and consumables for the workshop
- Process incoming goods and enter invoices into our system
- Manage returns and credits for incorrect or damaged goods
- Dispatch tools and items for repair when required
- Maintain stock levels of workshop consumables (bolts, nuts, washers, etc.)
- Keep the store and parts area clean, tidy and well organised
- Assist with stocktakes in June and December
- Take phone calls and support the team as needed
What you’ll bring
- Forklift licence – essential
- Car licence (truck licence highly regarded)
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in heavy vehicles
- Experience in a store/parts or heavy vehicle repair environment (preferred)
- Comfortable using a parts or inventory system (iBody experience a bonus)
- Strong attention to detail with orders, stock and paperwork
- Good time management, able to juggle competing tasks
- A team mindset – cooperative, respectful and willing to help others
