Medical Receptionist – Casual (2 Days per Week)

Nirvana Health Group is a growing specialist medical clinic committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. We are seeking an experienced and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis for 2 days per week.

This position is best suited to someone who enjoys working in a specialist medical environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional patient service, and is able to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

About the Role

You will be the first point of contact for our patients and play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcoming patients and providing outstanding customer service
- Managing appointments, referrals and patient enquiries
- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
- Processing Medicare and DVA billing
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Liaising with doctors, pharmacies and other healthcare providers
- General administrative and reception duties

Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist in Australia (essential)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Robust organisational skills with excellent attention to detail





Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment

Confident using medical practice software and electronic medical records

Professional presentation and a compassionate, patient-focused approach

Highly Desirable

- Experience using MedicalDirector Helix
- Previous experience in a specialist medical practice
- Knowledge of medicinal cannabis clinics and prescribing workflows
- Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, referrals and telehealth administration
