About Our School

St Ambrose’s School is a vibrant inner‑city primary school with an enrolment of over 140 students, located in Newmarket. About The Opportunity

- Overseeing the development, maintenance and operations of relevant systems and resources and recommending improvements to processes and procedures.
- Developing and interpreting legislation, regulations,



procedures and other guideline material relating to operations within the school.
- Delivering and advising staff, students, and the school community on policy updates and publishing via appropriate channels.
- Facilitating the completion and reporting on risk and compliance tasks through the appropriate avenues.
- Advising and facilitating the conduct of risk assessments by responsible staff members for school events.

About You

- Expertise in developing, maintaining, and improving operational systems and processes.
- Strong understanding of legislation, regulations, and guidelines to interpret and apply within a school setting.
- Ability to communicate policy updates clearly to a wide variety of groups and stakeholders.
- Experience in managing and reporting on risk and compliance tasks effectively.
- Skilled in advising and facilitating risk assessments for events.
- Tertiary qualification at Associate Diploma/Diploma in a related field.

Eligibility and Safeguarding Requirements

- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
