Service Assistant Orderly

Location: Port Lincoln Hospital, Eyre Peninsula, SA, AU. Work type: Full time, permanent, onsite. Roster: 7‑day cycle. Salary: WHD3 $1,250.29–$1,281.40 per week, plus superannuation, salary sacrifice, and leave loading.

Responsibilities

- Transport patients safely and respectfully within the hospital.
- Collect, deliver, and return equipment to the correct areas.
- Transport pathology and other specimens in line with handling protocols.
- Manage the delivery of clean linen and timely removal of soiled linen and waste.

Qualifications & Skills

- Reliable, punctual approach and physical capacity to perform manual handling tasks throughout a full shift.
- Clear, respectful communication with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, infection control and safe waste‑handling procedures required within SA Health facilities.
- Ability to prioritise competing tasks calmly in a busy hospital workplace.
