About the role

We are seeking highly experienced Business Intelligence professionals with a proven track record of leading complex cloud‑based BI and analytics functions within a multifaceted, customer‑focused or asset‑intensive environment. You will bring demonstrated success in delivering data‑driven business improvement and play a pivotal role in advancing data capability and shaping evidence‑based decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and management of BI platforms and tools, particularly Power BI, leveraging deep knowledge of data architecture, data modelling, ETL, data warehousing and self‑service analytics.

• Plan, execute and oversee BI modernisation projects, ensuring solutions are robust, sustainable, and scalable while upholding data governance standards.

• Interpret complex datasets, identify key trends and deliver practical, data‑driven solutions that support strategic decision‑making and business performance.

• Foster a high‑performing team, achieving agreed outcomes and driving continuous improvement in data and analytics practices.

Qualifications

Level 7 – Business Intelligence Manager:

- Substantial experience in managing and leading a high‑performing team.
- Tertiary qualification in data analytics or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Extensive experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics within a complex, public‑facing or asset‑intensive operational industry.
- Highly developed understanding of BI concepts, technologies, tools and management.





Level 6 – Business Intelligence Specialist:

- Extensive experience in designing, developing and managing BI platforms and tools, with deep knowledge of data architecture, data modelling, ETL, data warehousing and self‑service analytics.
- Proven ability to lead BI modernisation projects, implement robust, sustainable, and scalable solutions, and uphold data governance standards.
- Strong ability to interpret complex datasets, identify key trends, and deliver practical, data‑driven solutions that support strategic decision‑making.

The level 7 Business Intelligence Manager role is a fixed‑term, full‑time opportunity until 30 April 2027 to cover a maternity leave, with a possibility of extension or permanency. The level 6 Business Intelligence Specialist role is a permanent, full‑time opportunity.
