Job Description

Grounded Construction Group is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Bulldozer Operator to join their team in Muchea WA. The Bulldozer Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of bulldozers to undertake bulk earthworks, clearing, site preparation, material spreading, pushing, ripping and final shaping activities across construction, civil, mining infrastructure and non-process infrastructure (NPI) projects. The role is responsible for achieving production targets while maintaining compliance with company, client and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities

- Operate bulldozers safely and efficiently to undertake bulk earthworks, site preparation and construction activities.
- Transparent vegetation, topsoil and unsuitable material from work areas in accordance with project requirements.
- Push, spread and level soil, rock, gravel and other construction materials.
- Carry out ripping, backfilling and ground preparation activities.
- Construct and maintain building pads, hardstands, access roads and haul roads.
- Perform final trim works to specified design levels and project tolerances where required.
- Read and work from construction drawings, survey pegs, GPS machine control systems and supervisor instructions.




- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and complete required plant inspection documentation.
- Monitor equipment performance and report faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Carry out routine servicing, lubrication and minor maintenance within competency limits.
- Participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox meetings and safety interactions.
- Operate safely around personnel, mobile plant, underground services and fixed infrastructure.
- Maintain compliance with Grounded, client and statutory safety requirements.
- Complete required plant logs, inspection records and production documentation accurately.
- Assist with site establishment and other construction activities where required.
- Maintain housekeeping standards around work areas and equipment.
- Contribute to achieving project production, quality and safety objectives.

Skills and Abilities

- Relevant qualification equivalent to AQF Certificate II or Certificate III, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum one (1) year relevant experience operating bulldozers.
- Current Driver’s Licence (HR – MC Role Dependant)
- Operating SOA
- Operating VOC (2 years validity)

Salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 per annum commensurate with experience.
