Finance Business Partner

Eastern Suburbs VIC | Full-time | $120,000 - $130,000 + Super

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well‑established, multi‑site operator managing a large portfolio of community‑facing venues on behalf of Local and State Government partners – including aquatic and leisure centres, gyms, wellness facilities and more, generating circa $300M in annual turnover.

They’re looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their Leisure division, working directly alongside Operations to drive commercial performance across a diverse and operationally complex venue network. This is a newly embedded, well‑received function within the business – you’ll be a genuine partner to non‑finance stakeholders, not sitting back in a central finance team.

Key Responsibilities

- Business partner with venue and area operational leaders to drive commercial outcomes across a portfolio of sites
- Deliver clear, insightful financial reporting and analysis that supports operational decision‑making
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis across multiple sites and venue types
- Build strong working relationships with non‑finance stakeholders, translating financial performance into practical, actionable guidance
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance,



cost efficiency and revenue generation
- Contribute to the continued development of the Finance Business Partnering function within the business

About You

- Demonstrated experience as a Finance Business Partner – this is not a first move out of practice/audit
- Background in a recreation, facilities, multi‑site or customer‑facing workplace strongly preferred (leisure/fitness, aged care, hospitality, retail, QSR or similar)
- Strong candidates from retail or other customer‑facing commercial sectors will also be considered
- Ability to build credibility and influence with operationally‑minded, non‑finance stakeholders
- CA/CPA qualified (or working towards) preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, operationally complex environment
