Novotel Sydney International Airport is a 271‑room hotel located along the Cooks River, near the International Airport. The hotel features a 150‑seater a‑la‑carte restaurant, a bar, and 11 conference rooms.
Job Description
The Revenue Manager will drive topline growth, optimise distribution, and lead commercial performance of the hotel. The role is hybrid/on‑site, in a high‑performing team environment.
Role Overview
As Revenue Manager, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing and Reservations teams to optimise revenue performance and achieve business goals. You will form and execute revenue strategies, manage inventory, forecast and set pricing, and mentor junior team members within the revenue management community.
What you will do
- Develop and implement revenue strategies for the hotel.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to adjust strategies.
- Lead weekly/bi‑weekly Revenue Management meetings and provide insights based on reporting data.
- Develop topline revenue forecasts and seek opportunities to drive incremental profit across all revenue centres.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and optimise pricing and inventory.
- Mentor, coach and develop junior team members in revenue management practices.
- Collaborate with sales, finance and front‑office teams to achieve revenue goals.
- Ensure reservations are well managed and coordinate with the reservations team.
- Drive market share in the competitive set and ensure all systems are adequately used to optimise RevPAR.
- Leverage knowledge of distribution landscape, including OTAs and distribution networks to optimise hotel profits.
- Maintain data quality and system hygiene of Revenue Management and Distribution applications.
Qualifications
- 1‑3 years of experience in revenue management roles.
- Proven ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team.
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to make strategic decisions that enhance revenue growth.
- Proficiency in revenue management principles.
- Experience with IDeaS Revenue Management Platform highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of distribution landscape, OTAs and emerging market trends.
- Team-oriented, forward‑thinking mindset with a passion for elevating revenue management as a respected community of practice.
