Solicitor – Banking & Finance – 1‑3 yrs PAE

We are looking for a junior solicitor to join our Brisbane Banking & Finance practice following an internal promotion. The role will involve collaborating with a high‑performing team on a broad range of banking and finance transactional and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

- Work on banking and finance transactional and regulatory matters for banks, customer‑owned banks, global banks and private credit funds across multiple sectors.
- Act on the borrower side of lending deals, advising offshore and local REITs, developers and corporate borrowers.
- Handle cross‑border transactions in partnership with our global network.
- Provide financial services regulatory advice, focusing on NCCP Act, Unfair Contract Terms, industry codes of practice and AML/CTF issues.

Qualifications

- At least 12 months of relevant Australian post‑admission legal experience in front‑end banking matters and no more than 3 years of post‑admission experience overall.
- Strong work ethic, commitment to exceeding client expectations, and a desire to be part of a high‑performing team.
- Attention to detail,



excellent analytical skills and a willingness to expand legal and commercial skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a rapid‑paced environment.
- Availability to work in the office every day.
