- Support young people in a safe, welcoming residential environment.
- Build trusted relationships and encourage positive engagement.
- Deliver life skills programs, including budgeting, cooking, hygiene, healthy relationships, and independent living.
- Work within a case management framework to achieve positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate client records and case notes.
- Respond to incidents professionally and contribute to a safe environment.
- Connect young people with community supports and services.
- Transport clients safely using Salvation Army vehicles.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated and supportive team.
Qualifications
- Certificate IV or higher in Youth Work, Community Services, Social Work or a related qualification.
- Experience supporting young people, ideally within alcohol and other drug, mental health, or community services.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and crisis intervention skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively while using sound judgement in challenging situations.
Essential Requirements
- Current Driver Licence.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
