Property and Leasing Administration Officer

This is a permanent full‑time position commencing September 2026.

Education Business Services (EBS) provides professional business services and operational support to Western Australian public schools, statutory boards and Department divisions across finance, ICT and infrastructure. EBS is committed to delivering responsive, adaptable, transparent, accountable and collaborative services that strengthen organisational capability and support the delivery of high‑quality education outcomes.

Within EBS, the Infrastructure Division is responsible for the planning, provision and management of educational facilities, including land planning, asset management, capital works and maintenance programs. The Infrastructure Operations Directorate supports schools through property management, lease and shared‑use arrangements, security and emergency management, environmental services and management of the WA Schools Public Private Partnership (PPP) contract.

The Role

The successful applicant will undertake daily administration of the Department’s lease and licence portfolio. They will manage the lease and licence database, ensuring it remains accurate and up to date, review new leases and licences for terms and conditions, develop processes to enforce key obligations and manage the financial aspects of the leases and licences, including rent and variable outgoing payments.

The role also involves developing reports to keep key staff within Infrastructure updated on lease and licence status and associated budgets,



conducting research and gathering information to support the preparation of annual departmental budgets, rent reviews and reports, and alerting the Principal Consultant Property and Contracts to issues, risks and potential breaches.

Qualifications

- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or possess a valid visa with the relevant work rights for the duration of the appointment.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before starting.
