About the role
Flying Doctor Patient Transport seeks a Registered Paramedic or Registered Nurse in Corowa to provide high‑quality patient transport care. The position offers full‑time work at a base rate of $34.63 per hour, with additional benefits.
Key responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient‑centred care across a range of acuity levels, ensuring clinical interventions are safe and aligned with RFDS policies.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch and healthcare teams to support safe, timely patient transport and accurate handovers.
- Lead by example, mentoring junior staff and maintaining professional registration and competencies through ongoing education and accreditation.
- Uphold safety and infection control standards, ensuring vehicles and equipment are ready and work practices meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by using resources efficiently and participating in quality initiatives.
Qualifications and experience required
- AHPRA Registration in Paramedicine or Nursing.
- Valid NSW Full Driver’s Licence.
- NEPT experience is a plus, but not essential.
Mandatory vaccination policy
Applicants must provide evidence of the following vaccinations:
- Hepatitis B (3 doses)
- Varicella (Chicken Pox)
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella
- Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis
- Annual Influenza
All positions require a driver history and demerit point check, a National Police Check and a valid Employee Working with Children Check.
