SJC Engineering is looking for an experienced Structural Steel Dogman / Rigger to join our installation team.
We fabricate and install structural steel for commercial projects including schools, shopping centres, train stations and warehouses. Most work is across Brisbane and South East Queensland, so you will generally be home each night.
The role
- Dogging cranes and coordinating lifts
- Rigging and installing structural steel
- Installing columns, beams, stairs and platforms
- Reading and interpreting erection drawings
- Bolting, levelling, aligning and grouting steel
- Drilling and installing chemical anchors
- Working from EWPs and scissor lifts
- Site welding where competent and required

About you
You must have:
- At least two years’ structural steel erection experience
- A current Dogging or Rigging high-risk work licence
- Experience working with mobile cranes and EWPs
- Ability to read erection drawings
- Construction White Card
- Working at Heights
- Current driver licence
- A reliable, safety-focused approach
EWP over 11 metres, Scissor Lift Yellow Card and site welding experience are highly regarded. This is a structural steel rigging and installation role. Applicants without practical dogging or rigging experience will not be suitable.
