Casual Retail Team Members – Two Positions Available

Friendly Grocer Mango Hill is looking for reliable and enthusiastic team members to join our growing supermarket.

We currently have two casual positions available.

Position 1 – Early Morning Food Preparation & Retail Assistant

Casual Position

✔ Around 20 hours per week

✔ 6:00 am starts

✔ Weekend availability is essential

This role is suited to someone with previous supermarket, café or takeaway experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Food preparation
- Operating commercial deep fryers
- Baking and preparing fresh food
- Stock replenishment
- General store duties
- Providing excellent customer service

Requirements

- Previous experience in a supermarket, café, takeaway or similar food retail environment
- Experience operating a commercial deep fryer is highly desirable
- Sound food handling knowledge and safe food practices
- Reliable, punctual and able to consistently start work at 6:00 am
- Able to work efficiently in a busy setting
- Must be available to work weekends





Position 2 – Evening Checkout Assistant

Casual Position

✔ After-school, evening & weekend shifts

✔ Weekend availability is essential

This role focuses primarily on checkout operations and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

- Operating the checkout
- Processing cash and EFTPOS transactions
- Greeting and assisting customers
- Keeping the checkout area clean and organised
- Providing friendly and efficient customer service

Requirements

- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
- Full training will be provided
- Friendly, reliable and customer-focused
- Honest with a strong work ethic
- Able to work efficiently in a busy retail environment
- Willing to learn and work as part of a team
- Must be available to work weekends
