About Us
Upwards Living is a committed provider of health and support services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Aged Care. We offer person-centred support to individuals of all ages - focusing not only on physical needs, but also on uplifting the overall quality of life for people with disability and their loved ones.
What You'll Do
- Support participants to achieve their goals and increase independence.
- Facilitate daily activities, outings, and community participation.
- Assist with personal care as required.
- Promote social inclusion and meaningful engagement.
- Ensure participant safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Follow organisational policies, procedures, and NDIS Practice Standards.
Essential Requirements
- Be able to work at least 32 hours per week, have flexible availability to work around 24/7 work shifts
- Have previous experience working in Supported Independent Living Workplace and supporting clients who require intensive care
- Strong communication skills in English (speaking and writing). Second language is also an
- Certificate IV or above in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services.
- NDIS Worker Screening
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Valid Working Rights to work in Australia
- Excellent English communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Current valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Availability
- Be available at least 32 hours per week, across 7 days per week including public holidays
- Be able to work night shifts, sleepovers, and active nights when required
- Be willing to work long hours, up to 10 hours
This role also requires working across different locations in Moorebank, Liverpool, Chester Hill, Yagoona and Bass Hill, subject to the needs of the organisation. Why Work with Us?
