About the role We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and community-focused

Supported Playgroup Facilitator to join our Early Years Team at Knox City

Council In this rewarding role, you will facilitate and deliver the Smalltalk Supported

Playgroup Program, funded by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing

(DFFH). Working directly with eligible families through supported playgroups and in-home sessions, you will help build parenting confidence, strengthen parent-child relationships, and support positive outcomes for children's learning, development and wellbeing. This is a fantastic role for someone committed to early childhood development,

family support, and creating inclusive, engaging learning environments. As part of our dedicated Early Years team, you'll contribute to improving outcomes for children and families while making a meaningful difference in your community.

(7.6 hours a day) based at Knox Civic Centre. This is a Band 5 classified role. Remuneration will be $83,593.07 to $97,258.47

(pro rata) depending on experience, plus superannuation in accordance with the

Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will bring to this role The key selection criteria for this role are:

Experience in providing quality children’s programs using a strength-based family-centred approach Demonstrated ability to plan and facilitate information and education groups for adults within set timeframes Ability to plan effectively to support and link families to local support services Ability to form and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders Highly developed communication skills (both written and oral)



Highly developed interpersonal skills with a particular focus on strength based and customer focused approaches Experience in the provision of services to children and families including dealing with people of diverse backgrounds, including those from CALD backgrounds, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds and families with children with disabilities.
