Surveyor or Survey Technician

Is a well respected land development consultancy with offices across Australia.
Their team of highly skilled licensed land surveyors and consultants deliver a driverse range of services including land development planning, cadastral, and feature surveys.
Due to continued growth they are seeking a Surveyor or Survey Technician to join their Melbourne team. You will work on diverse, high-value projects across Melbourne with a strong focus on land development, construction set-out, and cadastral surveying.

The Roles
As a Surveyor
- Conduct cadastral, feature, contour, identification, and engineering surveys to the highest standards
- Perform building and construction set-outs, as-builts, and work-as-executed surveys
- Process and reduce survey data using LisCAD or AutoCAD
- Client liaison
- Identify and resolve non-conformances in the field
- Prepare work-as-executed plans and manage survey data deliverables
As a Survey Technician
- Carry out field surveys meticulously to company standards and quality assurance systems
- Calculate and adapt field files for surveys, including onsite data processing
- Upload and download project files and data management
- Set out points, offsets, lines, marks,
profiles, pins, and pegs including repair work
- Maintain best practice survey data storage and file management
- Reduce and process survey data accurately
- Ensure compliance with company QA processes and industry guidelines
- Identify and escalate non-conformance issues requiring corrective action
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Support land development, construction, and engineering survey projects
- Collect property data for contour and detail projects
About You
As a Surveyor
- Strong background in cadastral surveying
- Proven experience managing projects from inception to completion
- Solid understanding of the development process and interpreting consent conditions relevant to subdivision
- Experience collaborating with junior staff and senior licensed surveyor teams
- Proficiency in surveying software including LisCAD, AutoCAD, and related applications
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills — you know how to bring people together to achieve results
- Proactive, forward-thinking mindset with genuine enthusiasm for continuous improvement
As a Survey Technician
- Degree or diploma in Surveying
- 3+ years' experience in residential surveying.
- Strong technical skills with up-to-date survey equipment and CAD software
- General Construction Induction Card
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Clear communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Commitment to quality assurance and error-free deliverables
