About the Opportunity

Based in WA and reporting to the State Sales Manager, this role will focus on developing Mapei’s Waterproofing product line across commercial, civil, infrastructure, and remedial markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing market share through engagement with waterproofing applicators, builders, consultants, engineers, architects, and other key specifiers.

This is a technical and project-driven role focused on specialty waterproofing systems including:

- Spray applied polyurea systems
- Liquid applied waterproofing membranes
- Structural and remedial waterproofing systems

The role will involve identifying project opportunities, influencing specifications, supporting contractors in office, and building long-term relationships across the waterproofing sector.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Service and support existing customer base while developing new business opportunities
- Develop relationships with waterproofing applicators, remedial contractors, consultants, engineers, architects, builders, and key project stakeholders
- Identify and track commercial, civil, infrastructure,



and remedial waterproofing projects
- Promote Mapei waterproofing systems through specification and technical support
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and site support relating to waterproofing systems
- Prepare project proposals and system recommendations together with the State Sales Manager, Product Managers, and relevant departments
- Work closely with Product Management and Technical Services to support project specifications and application solutions
- Maintain and continuously update product and application knowledge
- Provide market and competitor information to the State Sales Manager
- Maintain accurate customer, project, and engagement activity within the CRM system
- Support and contribute to strategic Mapei business and growth plans
- Perform duties within the framework of Mapei Australia’s policies and procedures.

What You Bring

- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the waterproofing, coatings, remedial, construction, or related industry
- Proven sales experience highly regarded
- Existing relationships within the waterproofing or construction sector advantageous
- Strong understanding of waterproofing systems and applications
- Experience working with or selling to applicators, builders, consultants, engineers, or specifiers highly regarded
- Trade background in waterproofing,



coatings, tiling, remedial, or construction advantageous
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Valid and current motor vehicle driver licence.
