Overview

Permanent full-time Field Service Mechanic based at our Kalgoorlie branch, servicing the Goldfields region. You will repair and maintain Coates hire equipment and machinery on customer sites. Working across a diverse fleet, you will apply your technical expertise to deliver safe, reliable and timely solutions that keep customers operating.

Responsibilities

- Safe, effective and effective preventative maintenance, servicing and overhauls as required.
- Deliver a level of trust and commitment to our customers that reinforces Coates as the supplier of choice.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of equipment on site, including earthmoving equipment, generators, lighting plants and boom lifts.
- Respond to breakdowns and provide practical solutions to minimise equipment downtime.
- Ensure stock levels of spare parts are available to undertake repairs efficiently on site.
- Maintain accurate service records and uphold Coates' commitment to safety and quality.

What you’ll bring to the role

- Relevant trade qualifications
- Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills
- Driver's licence (preferably MR or HR)
- Forklift and EWP tickets (beneficial)
- Effective time management and attention to detail
- Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
