This is an exciting opportunity to join Family Life as a Team Leader working within The Orange Door in Bentleigh (Bunurong Land) as well as travel to other sites as required.

The Orange Door

Partnership aims to safely address the needs of all Victorians who experience or use Family Violence.

The Orange

Door is a Partnership program that performs integrated intake and assessment services, providing a pathway to Integrated Family Services, Specialist Women’s Family Violence Services and Men’s Behaviour Change programs.

Door provides services to families who need support in relation to child wellbeing and seeks to improve service capacity by integrating service delivery.

Door has a strong commitment to developing opportunities for timely, appropriate and where necessary, intensive interventions to prevent the escalation of risk factors and issues regarding vulnerable children and their families.

The Team

Leader provides operational management within the Orange Door which includes managing workloads across the team and providing oversight and guidance to team members.

Leader will be required to work collaboratively with 10 multidisciplinary, inter Agency teams.

Key Responsibility

Areas

Provide home agency leadership, supervision and support to Family Life’s Child Wellbeing Team, and practice leadership to a multidisciplinary integrated team through allocation processes, case consultation and performance development, fostering a collaborative, engaged and high-performing team culture.

Manage task allocation and workflow across the integrated team, balancing strategic and operational priorities, service demand and individual practitioner workload.

Promote and model respectful relationships and contribute to a positive, inclusive, culturally safe and values-led workplace environment.

Contribute to quality improvement, reporting and effective service delivery, accountability and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with Orange Door Team Leaders and partner agencies to promote consistent practice, workforce development and effective service delivery across the partnership, including providing secondary consultation, practice advice, mentoring and training.

Ensure compliance with organisational, program,



legislative and information-sharing requirements, including case recording, data management, mandatory reporting and other statutory obligations.

Work closely with Victoria Police, Child Protection, Aboriginal services and other sector stakeholders to develop and maintain strategic networks, partnerships and referral pathways that support coordinated responses and strengthen system responses for individuals and families with complex needs.

Participate in Team Leader supervision and support Family Life practitioners’ engagement in reflective practice and both reflective and operational supervision.

Ensure effective identification, management and escalation of organisational, practice and client risks, including incident reporting obligations.

Represent Family Life and The Orange Door in relevant meetings, networks and stakeholder engagements as required.

Undertake other duties consistent with the position and organisational requirements.
