We're looking for an enthusiastic and people-focused Work Health and Safety Officer to join our People and Culture team. Working closely with the Coordinator Work Health and Safety, you'll help drive a positive safety culture, support continuous improvement initiatives, and play a key role in delivering our Work Health and Safety Management System and WHS Action Plan.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on role where you will provide advice and support across a broad range of WHS activities to help ensure a safe and compliant workplace for our employees.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting with the development, implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems, policies and procedures
- Monitoring, analysing and reporting on incidents, injuries, hazards and WHS performance data
- Supporting injury management, workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes
- Coordinating WHS inductions, training and awareness initiatives
- Conducting workplace inspections,



ergonomic assessments and risk management activities
- Assisting with the development of safe work practices, job safety analyses and safe work method statements
- Working collaboratively with employees, leaders and stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of an organisation
- Experience managing competing priorities and working independently
- Sound analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Experience in digital management systems or workplace safety programs will be highly regarded
