Position: Technical Lead
Location: Adelaide, South Australia

Reports To: Engineering Manager

RWS is looking for an experienced Technical Lead to join the Propylon Government Solutions team. You'll lead a team of engineers building next-generation legislative drafting and document workflow management solutions using Python, Type Script, React, and Redux.

This role combines technical leadership, software architecture, mentoring, and project delivery for enterprise government clients across global teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers.
- Drive the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions.
- Plan and manage development sprints and project delivery.
- Design technical architectures and integrate complex systems.
- Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
- Support hiring, resource planning, and team development.

Required Skills & Experience





- 5+ years of skilled Python development experience.
- Strong experience with Django, Flask, or similar Python frameworks.
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience.
- Experience delivering enterprise software projects throughout the SDLC.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, workflow systems, and engineering best practices.
- Experience with Docker, AWS, Git Hub Actions, and Dev Ops practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with GraphQL, Celery, Microsoft Office integrations, or document management systems.
- Knowledge of Open Search/Elasticsearch, XML, Java/C#, or Agile development.
- Experience delivering legislative or government technology solutions.
