Occupational Health Manager

About the Role
This is a diverse leadership role combining clinical, operational, and administrative responsibilities. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic while ensuring exceptional customer service, high clinical standards, and an efficient workflow.
Working closely with the Operations Team, Doctors, Nurses and Administration staff, you will play a key role in maintaining a positive team culture and ensuring the smooth delivery of occupational health services.
Key Responsibilities
Clinic Operations & Leadership
- Lead and support the daily operations of the clinic
- Coordinate staff and appointment schedules
- Ensure smooth workflow across occupational health assessors/nurses and administration teams
- Monitor service quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Maintain compliance with company policies and occupational health standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Administration
- Manage bookings, phone enquiries and client correspondence
- Prepare and review medical documentation for accuracy
- Coordinate referrals and follow up outstanding medical results (blood tests, radiology, pathology and specialist reports)
- Send completed medical reports to clients
- Assist with invoicing and general administration
- Maintain confidential medical records
- Monitor clinic stock and organise supplies
- Experience working with online assessments platform
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational health assessments including:
- Audiometry
- Spirometry
- Musculoskeletal Assessments
- Blood Pressure
- Vision Screening
- ECGs
- Drug & Alcohol Testing
- Venepuncture
- Complete medical histories and clinical documentation
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and additional testing
- Liaise with Doctors regarding clinical findings
- Provide professional care while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about Occupational Health and enjoys leading a team while still remaining hands-on clinically.
Essential
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN)
- Previous Occupational Health experience
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High level of computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Pro)
- Ability to prioritise competing workloads
- Solid attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience managing a clinic or healthcare team
- Experience performing occupational health assessments
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation
- Experience with occupational health software and medical reporting systems
