About the role

Galvin Hardware is seeking a dedicated Store Person/Delivery Driver to join our warehouse and logistics team on a full-time basis. Based in Thebarton, SA 5031, this role is central to our operations, ensuring that products are efficiently managed, stored, and delivered to our customers.
You will be responsible for assisting in our warehouse operations whilst also representing Galvin Hardware through professional delivery services. This position offers the opportunity to be hands-on in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

The right applicant, if successfull, will have the opportunity to use this role as a stepping stone in to other positions within the company.

Key responsibilities

1. Receiving, checking, and processing incoming stock and deliveries
2. Accurately picking and packing orders according to customer specifications
3. Organising and maintaining warehouse shelving, inventory systems, and storage areas to ensure easy access and safety compliance
4. Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
5. Loading vehicles with products and securing items appropriately for transport
6. Delivering products to customers in a skilled and courteous manner
7. Maintaining accurate records of stock movements, deliveries, and warehouse activities
8. Adhering to health and safety regulations and warehouse best practices at all times

What we're looking for

1. A valid C-class driver's licence with a clean driving record,



essential for this role.
2. Previous experience in warehousing, stock management is beneficial.
3. Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
4. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work efficiently.
5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and maintaining inventory records.
6. A commitment to health and safety compliance and warehouse best practices.
7. Strong communication skills and a professional approach to customer interactions during deliveries
8. Reliability and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
