About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Accountant to join our Regional Finance team in Perth. This role will provide critical financial support to the Regional Finance Manager, Regional CFO, and FP&A; Manager, contributing to the delivery of accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, and insightful business analysis.

You will work in a team of 4 accountants, reporting to the FP&A; Manager.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving process improvement initiatives across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Close Process

- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities.

- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of reconciling items.

- Process journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.

- Manage fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure reporting.

- Support payroll accounting activities across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Fiji.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal control requirements.

Planning, Analysis & Business Support

- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

- Prepare financial analysis, performance reporting, and management reports for senior leadership.

- Support the Regional Finance Manager, Regional CFO, and FP&A; Manager with ad-hoc analysis and decision support.





- Identify key business trends, risks, and opportunities through insightful financial analysis.

Compliance & Governance

- Support statutory reporting requirements across the region.

- Coordinate and assist with external and internal audits.

- Maintain strong financial controls and governance processes.

- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement

- Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies.

- Support finance transformation and automation initiatives.

- Drive improvements in reporting quality, data integrity, and workflow efficiency.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly capable finance professional with strong technical accounting expertise, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to business partnering.

Qualifications & Experience

- CA or CPA qualification (essential).

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

- Minimum of 7 years' experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within a large multinational organisation.

- Robust technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience.

- Proven experience managing month-end close processes, reconciliations, and management accounting activities.

- Experience supporting audits and statutory reporting requirements.
