Tanami is one of Australia's most remote and significant underground gold mines, located deep in the Tanami Desert of the Northern Territory. Your Impact

Reporting to the Lead People, Training, you will play a key role in developing the capability of our operational workforce by coordinating and delivering high-quality technical training programs across Newmont Tanami.

Working closely with operational leaders, site trainers and external training providers, you will identify training needs, develop engaging learning solutions and ensure our workforce remains competent, compliant and equipped to perform safely and effectively.

Profile description

As part of our team, you will:

- Coordinate and deliver engaging technical training aligned to operational and compliance requirements
- Develop training materials and learning resources using adult learning principles




- Conduct assessments across a range of operational departments and work groups
- Monitor training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement opportunities
- Partner with external training providers and industry bodies to maintain best practice
- Support compliance with legislative, regulatory and Newmont training requirements
- Coach and mentor employees to build capability and improve workplace performance
- Mentor Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Crew Trainers to assist with training activities
- Routinely generate and analyse training reports to identify training needs and improvements
- Maintain accurate training records and utilise technology to support learning and reporting

Prerequisites for your success in this role

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116, TAE40122 )
- Experience developing and delivering technical training within mining, resources or a heavy industrial environment
- Experience designing engaging learning materials and training programs
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory training requirements
- Excellent facilitation, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence diverse audiences
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office and digital learning systems
- Auditor qualifications and leadership experience (highly regarded)
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams with a continuous improvement mindset
- Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence
- Ability to work FIFO roster arrangements
