Technicians and Trades Workers nec - Tailings Infrastructure Technician

RHT CONTRACTING PTY LTD is looking for a full time Tailings Infrastructure Technician to join the business. Duties and Responsibilities:

- Interpreting tailings dam construction plans and technical layout data, including site-specific grade maps, drainage paths, and lift layering designs.
- Conducting GPS and laser-level checks to validate and assist in positioning and shaping TSF lifts to exact tolerances, in coordination with survey teams and engineers.
- Verifying compaction levels, slope integrity, and drainage compliance through in-field assessments and supporting documentation for engineering review.
- Monitoring environmental control measures such as sediment barriers, decant structures, and water management elements specific to tailings dam projects.
- Documenting project progress, including field measurements, QA/QC logs,



and shift reports that inform technical compliance and ongoing lift design requirements.
- Assisting with the technical setup and post-operational checks of equipment used within TSF projects (e.g., screeners, water management units), without engaging in general machinery operation as a primary function.
- Liaising with field supervisors and engineering staff to relay technical challenges, suggest adjustments, and support solution implementation on complex terrain or evolving site conditions.

Skills and experience

- The right candidate will have solid technical skills and at least 1 year of experience is required

Location: Malaga WA 6090 Salary: $79,000 – 150,000 per year Position: Full Time
