Himtech Communications Pty Ltd is a growing Australian telecommunications company delivering high-quality network infrastructure, installation, maintenance, and technical support services. We specialise in telecommunications network deployment, fibre optic systems, wireless communication technologies, and network solutions for commercial and industrial clients. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Telecommunications Field Engineer to join our expanding team.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, install, commission, and maintain telecommunications equipment and network infrastructure.
- Conduct site surveys and assess project requirements for telecommunications installations.
- Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot fibre optic, copper, wireless, and IP-based communication systems.
- Diagnose and resolve network faults to minimise service interruptions.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on telecommunications equipment.
- Prepare technical reports, network documentation, and maintenance records.
- Monitor network performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with Australian telecommunications standards, workplace health and safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers,



and project teams to coordinate field activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to technicians during installation and commissioning projects.

Essential Requirements
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant industry experience in telecommunications engineering or network infrastructure.
- Robust knowledge of fibre optic systems, wireless technologies, IP networking, and telecommunications equipment.
- Experience with installation, commissioning, testing, and fault diagnosis of telecommunications networks.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current Australian driver's licence (or ability to obtain one).

Desirable
- Experience working with NBN, carrier networks, or large-scale telecommunications infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Australian telecommunications standards and WHS requirements.
- Experience using network testing and diagnostic equipment.
