Position title: Telecommunications Technical Officer

Work location: Lyndhurst, VIC 3975

Salary: $79,500 - $100,000

Main task: You will be part of a team that will perform project, installation, and maintenance works - both in workshops and field locations. The range of technologies will include but not be limited to, underground leaky feeder radio systems, wide area radio networks, fibre optic and data networks, Wi-Fi, remote control and monitoring systems, microwave systems and general electronic repairs.

Responsibilities

● Form part of our clients on site technical team to maintain various Communication &

Network equipment.

● New systems workshop build, programming, and factory acceptance testing.

● On Site Installation, Commissioning and fault finding of Voice & Data Radio systems.

● On Site Installation, Commissioning and fault finding of microwave equipment and various IP based ancillary equipment.

● On Site Installation, Commissioning and fault finding of Rajant Mesh equipment and networks.

● On Site Installation, Commissioning and fault finding of communications equipment in a wide variety of locations, including buildings, towers, mobile plant and vehicles.





● Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure project delivery is completed as per design, within budget, and schedule expectations.

● Completion of Preventative Maintenance Inspections of customer equipment when due.

● Complete Project documentation, Survey reports, FAT and SAT documentation where required.

● Provide technical input to support sales where required.

● Ensure all activities undertaken are carried out in accordance with company safety and quality policies and procedures.

● Participate in a 24/7 on call roster on call support for specified customers to meet contractual SLA’s.

To be suitable for this position you require the following:

● Holder of a diploma or any relevant qualification

● At least 2 years of relevant work experience

● Interest in RF, Electronics, ICT, Networking and various other Technologies.

● Sound written and verbal communication skills.

● Self-motivation and excellent time management skills.

● Ability to learn current information quickly.

● Intermediate to advanced computer literacy.

● Willingness to travel for extended periods of time within VIC and interstate.

● A good understanding and commitment to safety
