Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Director, APAC will lead En Route's commercial strategy and growth across one of the world's most dynamic aviation markets.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of an established £20m APAC business and lead its transformation into a £50m regional operation. You will be responsible for accelerating growth, strengthening customer partnerships, expanding market share, and delivering profitable, sustainable results across the region.

Working closely with airlines, caterers, and industry partners, you will identify and secure new business opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships, and create innovative commercial and product solutions that enhance En Route's value proposition. As part of a global commercial team, you will collaborate with colleagues across the UK, Europe, USA, UAE and APAC to deliver growth, share best practice, and support global customer initiatives.

En Route International, part of dnata, is a global leader in the design and supply of premium food products for the travel industry. Operating across the UK, USA, UAE and Australia, we bring together world-class manufacturing partners, product innovation, and a high-performance global supply chain to deliver exceptional solutions for our customers.

The Opportunity:

As Director, APAC, you will:

- Lead regional commercial strategy, sales performance and business growth across the APAC market.
- Take ownership of regional budgets, revenue, gross margin performance and commercial negotiations.
- Deliver ambitious growth through new business acquisition, account development and market expansion.
- Build strategic relationships with airlines, caterers and key industry stakeholders, including Board and C-suite decision-makers.

- Develop and execute strategic account and sales plans that maximise customer retention, growth and long-term value.
- Use market insights, customer intelligence and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and shape future strategy.
- Partner with New Product Development, Creative, Operations and Finance teams to deliver innovative customer solutions and bring recent products and services to market.
- Work collaboratively with global commercial teams to support regional and international customer opportunities.
- Drive a culture of commercial excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across the business.
- Note: Due to being a scaling business with plenty of ambition, responsibilities may expand or shift as the role evolves.

Leadership Responsibilities:

This role is equally focused on people leadership as it is commercial delivery.

You will lead and develop the APAC Sales team, creating a high-performance culture that inspires growth, accountability and customer excellence. You'll coach and develop talent, align team objectives with wider business goals, and build strong cross-functional relationships that enable seamless delivery of customer commitments, strategic projects and new business opportunities.

About You:

We're looking for a commercially driven and strategic leader with a proven track record of delivering growth in complex, customer-centric environments.

You will bring:

- Significant experience leading sales, commercial or business development functions across APAC.
- A strong track record of delivering revenue growth, market expansion and profitable commercial performance.
- Experience developing strategic customer relationships and influencing senior stakeholders up to Board and C-suite level.
- Expertise in business development, strategic sales, account management and demand generation.
- Strong commercial acumen, financial awareness and experience managing budgets, forecasts and sales pipelines.
- The ability to develop and execute growth strategies while balancing operational and customer requirements.
- Experience operating within matrix organisations and collaborating across multiple functions and regions.
- A proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Resilience, adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business.
- Experience within the food, aviation, travel, hospitality or similarly complex commercial sectors would be advantageous.
- This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious commercial leader who wants to shape the future of a growing global business and leave a significant mark on the APAC region.

Please note that eligibility to work in Australia, visa requirements, and relocation considerations are factors that will be considered alongside skills, experience, and suitability for the role during the assessment process.

En Route International is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued and everyone has the opportunity to succeed. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
