About the role

As the Security Governance Manager, you will lead CBUS' information security governance, risk and compliance capability, ensuring effective oversight of cyber risks, regulatory obligations, control maturity, assurance activities and reporting. The role provides enterprise-wide visibility of the information security risk profile and plays a critical role in supporting informed decision making across executive management, risk committees and Board governance forums.

This is a highly influential leadership role responsible for strengthening CBUS' cyber security governance framework, driving regulatory compliance, uplifting security controls and embedding a strong risk-aware culture across the organisation. You will partner with stakeholders across Technology, Risk and the broader business to ensure security remains aligned to strategic priorities, emerging threats and regulatory expectations.

Key Accountabilities

- Lead the information security governance, risk and compliance function, including oversight of security controls, regulatory obligations, assurance activities and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement of the Information Security Governance Framework, policies and standards to meet evolving business, threat and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver meaningful cyber risk metrics, executive reporting and insights that support governance and decision making.
- Manage security risk assessments, remediation programs,



third-party risk governance and regulatory compliance obligations including APRA requirements.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team while building organisation-wide security awareness and a strong risk culture.

What will you bring?

- Extensive experience leading information security governance, risk and compliance functions within a regulated environment, ideally financial services.
- Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, risk management, control design and assurance methodologies.
- Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide security policies, standards and governance frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory obligations and industry frameworks including APRA CPS 234, APRA CPS 230, NIST and ISO 27001.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and coach teams.
