Overview
Circa $105,000 (Prorata) + 12% superannuation. Full time, 6‑month fixed term. Hybrid working arrangements – mix of work‑from‑home and office days. Work in a brand‑new office building in Melbourne’s CBD on Franklin Street.
Responsibilities
- Analyse requirements and design solutions for cloud transition and new cloud‑native projects.
- Develop, implement, and maintain cloud‑based applications and databases.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (including offshore partners) throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support testing, quality control, and continuous improvement activities.
- Contribute to strong team culture around version control, documentation, and best practice.
Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in software development or a related technology field.
- Commercial programming experience in object‑oriented languages such as ASP.NET, C#, PowerShell, PHP, and functional programming such as React.
- Strong working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS, including app/API design, DevOps fundamentals, cloud architecture, performance optimisation, basic networking/security, and scalability. Relevant certifications highly regarded.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL (stored procedures, triggers, indexes) in SQL Server and/or MySQL.
- Web development skills across XML, XSL, JavaScript, jQuery,
and CSS.
- Familiarity with full software development lifecycles and revision control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Sharp problem‑solving instincts, sound judgement under pressure, and great attention to detail.
- Cooperative mindset, balanced with the ability to work independently.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., CANVAS), PowerBI reporting, or web application security is a bonus.
