The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Golf Course Equipment Technician to join our Course Management team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled turf equipment technician to play a key role in maintaining and supporting our extensive fleet of turf maintenance machinery. You will ensure our equipment remains reliable, safe, and operating at the highest standard to support championship-level course presentation.

This is a full-time fixed-term position working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary above award. There are opportunities to work flexible work hours as The Eastern Golf Club is committed to support a healthy work/life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

- Managing workshop organisation, cleanliness, and compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing Toro and John Deere turf equipment, including cylinder mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, sprayers,



and small engines.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel system faults.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance programs and responding efficiently to equipment breakdowns.
- Grinding, adjusting, and setting reel cutting units to meet championship course standards.
- Maintaining accurate service records, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
- Working collaboratively with the Course Management team to ensure machinery availability and reliability for daily operations.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have:

- A recognised trade qualification in Mechanical Repair, Agricultural Machinery, Turf Equipment, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience servicing and repairing specialised turf maintenance equipment.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and small engine diagnostic skills.
- Experience with reel mower grinding, setup, and adjustment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
- A robust commitment to workplace health and safety.
- A current unrestricted manual driver’s licence.

Experience with Toro and John Deere turf equipment will be highly regarded.
