We're looking for an experienced Building Designer / Draftsperson with strong Archicad skills to join our growing team. This is a full time role in our Gold Coast office.

Working alongside our experienced Building Designer who specialises in Australian building approvals, together with our builder and external consultants, you'll play a key role in designing and continually improving affordable Australian homes and a growing range of residential and commercial building products.

This isn't a role where you'll simply prepare drawings before moving onto the next project. You'll contribute ideas, improve floor plans, develop new products and create high-quality presentations that influence homes and buildings used throughout Australia.

Our team works closely with Australian engineers, Building Certifiers and manufacturing partners to deliver practical, compliant and well-designed buildings.

Your Responsibilities

Working closely with our internal team and external consultants, you'll:

- Design and develop affordable Australian homes using Archicad.

- Produce construction drawings and detailed documentation.

- Design practical,



space-efficient floor plans for affordable housing.

- Create high-quality 3D renders and presentation material.

- Improve façades, layouts and building functionality.

- Assist with customised customer designs.

- Contribute to new product development and continuous product improvements.

- Prepare documentation for manufacturing and construction.

- Work closely with our builder, structural engineer and external consultants throughout the design process.

- Maintain and improve our Archicad templates, standards and drawing libraries.

As part of the role, you'll also gain valuable experience working alongside our experienced Building Designer through Australian building approval processes, with exposure to Building Certifiers, Local Councils, Structural Engineers, Energy Assessors and other specialist consultants.

Previous experience with Australian building approvals is highly regarded but not essential.

- Experience designing practical, space-efficient floor plans for affordable housing.

- Excellent architectural design skills.

- Ability to produce presentation-quality 3D renders.

- A solid understanding of residential construction.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- Strong communication and organisational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects in a rapid-paced environment.

- A practical, solutions-focused approach.

Highly Regarded

- Experience with Australian building approvals.

- Experience working with Building Certifiers or Local Councils.

- Knowledge of the National Construction Code.





- Experience coordinating external consultants.

- Experience with Twinmotion, Lumion or similar rendering software.

- Experience using AI tools to improve design workflows.

- Experience with modular or prefabricated construction.
