The Senior P&C; Advisor provides accurate, pragmatic and timely HR advice, coaching and support to leaders and employees, enabling the effective delivery of people priorities and business outcomes.
Working closely with the Heads of People and leaders across the enterprise, this role operates as an experienced HR generalist with a strong advisory focus. The role requires a high degree of autonomy, sound judgement, and the ability to manage a broad range of people matters, including complex employee relations issues.
In this role, you’ll:
- Provide clear, practical HR advice to leaders on employee relations, performance management, conduct matters and organisational change
- Independently manage a range of ER matters end-to-end, including complex and sensitive cases, ensuring appropriate risk management
- Coach and guide leaders to build capability and confidence in managing their people
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Interpret and apply Awards, agreements and employment legislation (AU/NZ)
- Use data and insights (quantitative and qualitative) to inform decisions and identify trends or risks
- Contribute to improving processes and ways of working to enhance the employee and leader experience
- Support key P&C; cyclical activities including talent and succession, performance, reward and engagement, including action planning
- Analyse people metrics and provide insights to support workforce planning and decision-making
- Contribute to the development and review of policies, procedures and frameworks
- Support change initiatives and broader culture uplift activities
- Support recruitment activities as required to ensure quality hiring outcomes
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in a generalist HR/People & Culture role, with demonstrated experience operating independently
- Strong employee relations capability, including managing performance, conduct and workplace issues end-to-end
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation across Australia and New Zealand
- Proven ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice and exercise strong judgement in complex situations
- Strong coaching skills, with the ability to guide and influence leaders
- Ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Demonstrated experience using data and insights to inform decisions
- Robust stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations
- Familiarity with AI tools – comfortable using tools to accelerate insights, automate routine work, prepare reporting, and tailor content quickly and effectively
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline
- Experience in financial services or other regulated environments
- Experience supporting high‑volume or operational workforces (e.g. contact centres)
- Exposure to health, safety and wellbeing, including return to work
