We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Painter & Decorator / Team Leader to join our busy team on a contract basis with the strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent full-time position.

If you are a hands-on professional with strong leadership qualities, meticulous attention to detail, and expertise in specialised techniques—including paint stripping and lead paint removal—we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and guide a small team of painters on-site to ensure high-quality workmanship and strict adherence to project timelines.

- General Painting & Decorating: Execute high-end interior and exterior painting, surface preparation, priming, paperhanging, and finishing works across residential and/or commercial sites.

- Quality & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment, enforce site OH&S; policies, and ensure all work meets company quality standards.

- Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, site managers, and team members to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience:



Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in the painting and decorating trade.

- Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading a team, coordinating daily tasks, and driving productivity on-site.

- Trade Qualifications: Relevant trade certificate/qualification in Painting and Decorating.

- Licenses & Equipment: Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.

- Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving abilities, punctuality, and a proactive, safety-first attitude.
