Transport Allocator & Transport Planner | Brisbane Logistics

We are recruiting for an Australian-owned, locally operated transport and contract logistics provider, one of the larger logistics operations in Brisbane. They are seeking the following:

Transport Allocator

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will plan and execute the daily load and route plan, directing Independent Contractors to achieve full delivery while maximising fleet utilisation and ensuring Basic Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor daily loads, ensure service delivery and complete live data entry
- Control daily/weekly revenue, compile paperwork and plan next-day schedules
- Maximise load and sub-contractor utilisation (85–100%)
- Supervise Tug Drivers, manage trailer flow and GPS tracking
- Update clients/drivers on delays and report incidents immediately
- Promote safety, ensure Load Restraint compliance and driver inductions

Skills & Experience

- Robust geographical/road knowledge
- Customer service and attention to detail
- Intermediate–advanced Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
- Time management and prioritisation skills
- Minimum 2 years similar experience or 3 years in transport/3PL

Hours: Mon–Fri 6.00am–3.00pm (flexibility required)

Transport Planner

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will plan and execute daily pickups and deliveries.



Local geographic and vehicle configuration knowledge is essential. You will monitor contractor performance, maximise space utilisation, allocate/direct contractors and complete data entry/KPI reporting.

Key Duties

- Execute load/route schedules and allocate to approved contractors
- Ensure allocations and permanently placed fleet vehicles are met
- Manage yard tractor workflow and schedule next-day deliveries
- Resolve client issues, and complete KPI reports
- Ensure live data entry and complete previous day’s paperwork

Skills & Experience

- Solid knowledge of Brisbane roads and geography
- Strong customer service, cost control and attention to detail
- Intermediate computer literacy with strong numerical skills
- Minimum 2 years similar experience or 3 years in transport/3PL

Hours: Mon–Fri 8.00am–6.00pm (flexibility required)
