ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

Common Ground Queensland (CGQ) is a specialist supportive housing organisation providing supportive and affordable housing to people who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness. We offer housing to individuals and families in high and medium density single site and dispersed site models.

Our supportive housing approach offers long term, safe and affordable housing that is intentionally linked to personalised support services. Support services for tenants are provided through partner organisations.

CGQ also provides tenancy support to individuals and families in partnership with support organisations to assist tenants to sustain their tenancies and maintain secure housing outcomes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Finance Manager is a member of the management team and leads all the financial management, reporting and compliance for the organisation. The Finance Manager is responsible for the preparation of the company financial reports and the fulfilment of all statutory and taxation obligations.

Key selection criteria

Essential

1. Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA or equivalent.
2. High level accuracy and attention to detail.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
6. Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
7. Consistently delivers high-quality work and is competent in all elements of the position.

Desirable

1. Experience working in a not-for-profit/community housing provider.
