Program/Project Change Control Manager
Be part of a high-impact, client-side Project Controls Team that is working on a nationally significant Defence project in Adelaide. This team plays a critical role in shaping strategic delivery outcomes across a transformative portfolio. As part of the Project Controls team, you’ll be at the forefront of driving excellence in program assurance and change control.
Responsibilities
- Manage change control for the relevant Project or Program, including tracking, reporting and analysis of variations and emerging trends.
- Work within the newly established Change Control Team as part of the wider Project Controls Function, assisting in embedding newly formed Change processes and procedures.
- Provide strategic insights to the client by identifying key risks, opportunities and impacts arising from change activity.
- Coordinate integrated baseline management exercises throughout the program lifecycle.
- Assess all program change/variation requests, ensuring timely and robust impact assessments across cost, schedule and risk are completed by the relevant project teams.
- Develop internal capability through training, coaching and recruitment of subject matter experts.
- Collaborate closely with Project Control Leads, Cost Controllers, Planners, Project Directors, Sponsors, Commercial and Finance teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Support the delivery of programme controls maturity and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications
- Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain (or currently hold)
an Australian Baseline Security Clearance or be a UK Citizen with current UK clearance.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across PMO and delivery teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of change control, cost planning, scheduling and risk management principles.
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated outcomes.
- Familiarity with project control systems such as Contruent (formerly Prism) is highly desirable.
- A relevant degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Project Management or similar.
- Professional qualifications such as P30, Prince 2, MSP, APM PMQ, PPQ, CHPPM or equivalent.
- Experience with P3M frameworks and IT solutions for programme controls.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly to senior stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for building capability and driving continuous improvement.
