Multiple Underground Mining Opportunities

Mining Employment Services is currently recruiting experienced underground mining personnel for several established Western Australian gold operations.

We have immediate and upcoming opportunities across production, development, service crew and frontline leadership. Positions are available on 8/6, 7/7 and 14/14 FIFO rosters from Perth, with both contract and permanent employment options.

Current Vacancies

Underground Service Crew – 15 Positions

Opportunities are available for experienced Service Crew personnel across multiple underground operations.

Rosters include:

- 8 days, 6 off, 7 nights, 7 off

- 7 days, 7 off, 7 nights, 7 off

You will assist with the installation, maintenance and relocation of underground services and infrastructure while supporting secure and efficient mining activities.

Underground Nipper Operators – 2 Positions

Rosters: 8/6 and 7/7

Work alongside Jumbo Operators, assisting with ground support, development activities, service installation, bogging, hosing and general underground duties.

Applicants should have

- At least two years of underground Nipper experience;

- Previous exposure to underground development activities;

- A current driver’s licence;

- Relevant underground mining tickets;

- A positive attitude and strong commitment to safety.

Underground Truck Drivers

Rosters: 8/6 and 7/7

Safely operate underground haul trucks, transport ore and waste, complete equipment inspections and support underground production activities.

Applicants should have

- At least two years of underground truck operating experience;

- A current manual HR driver’s licence;

- Strong underground radio communication skills;





- A reliable, safety-focused approach.

Underground Bogger Operators – 2 Positions

Rosters: 8/6, 7/7 and 14/14

Operate underground loaders across production and development areas, including bogging, stockpile management and material movement.

Applicants should have

- At least two years of underground Bogger experience;

- Experience operating CAT or Sandvik underground loaders;

- A current manual C Class driver’s licence;

- Remote loader operating experience will be highly regarded;

- The ability to work safely and productively to mine plans.

Underground Mining Supervisors

Rosters: 8/6 and 7/7

Lead underground production crews and coordinate daily mining activities to achieve safety, production and development targets.

Applicants should have

- At least two years of underground supervisory experience;

- Demonstrated experience leading production operators;

- Strong field leadership and team management skills;

- The ability to coordinate with planning and engineering teams;

- A proactive and hands-on leadership style.

Leading Hand – Underground Service Crew

Roster: 7/7

Coordinate underground service crews completing scheduled installations, infrastructure work and breakdown activities.

Applicants should have

- At least three years of underground mining experience;

- Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience;

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability;





- Experience coaching and developing underground personnel;

- A current manual C Class driver’s licence.

Permanent Underground Supervisor

Roster: 8/6

A long-term opportunity with a major underground hard-rock operation offering excellent job security and a substantial remaining mine life.

The package includes

- Permanent employment;

- Salary package in the high $200,000 range plus superannuation;

- Quarterly performance bonus;

- Short-Term Incentive Plan;

- FIFO flights between Perth and site.

Applicants must hold a current WA Underground Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency or directly transferable Section 26 Practising Certificate and have demonstrated underground hard-rock supervisory experience.

Grader Operator / Watercart – 1 Position

Roster: 7 days, 7 nights, 14 off

Maintain underground roads, travelways and working areas while supporting dust suppression and safe access throughout the operation

General Requirements

Successful applicants will generally require:

- Recent underground hard-rock mining experience;

- A current Australian driver’s licence appropriate to the position;

- Relevant licences, qualifications and site tickets;

- A strong commitment to safety and teamwork;

- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen;

- Australian working rights.
