About us

Aspire Academics is a growing tutoring centre in Truganina, supporting primary and secondary students across Melbourne's west. We regularly film content at our centre (student wins, study tips, events and testimonials) and we are looking for a talented video editor to turn that raw footage into scroll-stopping social ads and video sales letters (VSLs).

About the role

This is a remote, freelance/casual, project-based role. We send you the raw footage; you turn it around quickly into high-quality short-form ads and longer VSLs we can post fast. It is ongoing, recurring work that scales with how much content we produce, paid per video or per project.

What you will do

- Edit raw footage into polished short-form vertical ads (15 to 60 seconds) for TikTok, Instagram and Facebook
- Produce longer-form VSLs, explainer and testimonial videos
- Add captions, motion graphics, colour grading, sound design and music
- Work to our brand guidelines with quick turnarounds so content goes live soon after filming
- Suggest hooks and structures that drive engagement and conversions

What we are looking for

- A strong showreel or portfolio of ad and/or VSL work. This is required:

- High-level proficiency with professional editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, CapCut or similar)
- A sharp eye for pacing, hooks, captions and current short-form social trends
- Reliable, self-managed and able to deliver on quick turnarounds
- Full working rights in Australia
- Comfortable working with footage that features students; discretion and confidentiality are essential (a Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one, is a plus)

- Remote: we share footage digitally, so you can work from anywhere in Australia
- Casual/freelance, paid per video or per project (rate discussed based on scope and complexity)
- Ongoing, recurring work as we produce content
- Start: as soon as possible
